Kratom soap often is used to exfoliate dead skin cells, which, with antiseptic properties, makes it one of the best soaps. Homemade technology is presented below.
You will need such ingredients:
- 5 – 9 ounces of Kratom powder (it all depends on how much you want the abrasive to be aggressive or not)
- 5-7 oz. of lye, 100%.
- 15 oz. extra virgin olive oil
- 12 oz. of water
- 8 oz. coconut oil
- 4 oz. palm oil
- 3 oz. avocado oil
- A little bit of dried lavender or jasmine (for flavor)
Based on these proportions, you can get a batch of about two pounds in total. Such a batch of soap can be divided into 10 pieces. You can search the Internet for calculators of soap, that can help you calculate the amount of other ingredients and change the final result.
Follow all safety precautions. Wear protective goggles, rubber gloves and a medical mask to prevent particles from entering the eyes and respiratory tract.
To start, heat the glycerin base (or the finished soap without additives) on the water. When the base becomes liquid, reduce the heat. Next, add all the oils: olive, avocado, palm and coconut. Thoroughly mix all the oils with glycerin. Continue to heat the mixture to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
It should make a homogeneous mass, similar to shortbread dough. Do not forget to prepare forms for soap.
Next, carefully add the alkali to the water (in no case the opposite, as this may lead to a volcanic reaction). Blend until lye dissolves well. Attention: in the case of mixing alkali with water, harmful vapors are formed, so it has to choosing well-ventilated areas for soap making.
In case of ingestion of alkali on the skin, rinse with plenty of water and neutralize the reaction with vinegar. If it is necessary, consult a doctor.
When both mixtures reach temperatures of about 110 degrees Fahrenheit, you need to mix them. At this stage, when the soap is getting creamy, you add Kratom powder. You can also add a few drops of your favorite essential oil.
Then pour soap into the mold and gently shake it to remove the air bubbles. Top can sprinkle dried flowers or herbs for beauty. Cover the soap with a food film and leave it in a cool place to freeze for 2 days.
